West Yorkshire Interpretation and Translation Service for GP Practices Training Sessions
Colleagues may be aware that the current contract for Interpretation and Translation services in Leeds is ending on the 31 March 2025. This contract is provided by Language Empire.
A procurement process has been underway to source a provider for Interpretation and Translation services for General Practice services across West Yorkshire from April.
This has now concluded, and the new provider of these services across West Yorkshire is DA Languages Limited (Dals). The new contract will take effect from 1st April 2025.
Dals provide interpretation and translation services to a wide range of clients including NHS Trusts and ICBs across the UK. Dals offers services in over 450 languages and dialects across telephone, video, and face to face interpreting, including registered British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters.
Dals will be demonstrating how to access all services, on-demand and pre-bookable on the following dates; We encourage all members of the teamworking for LGPC attend one of the below brief training sessions if possible.

- Fri 7th March @ 12pm
- Mon 17th March @ 4pm
- Thu 20th March @ 10am
- Fri 21st March @ 2pm
- Tues 25th March @ 1pm
- Wed 26th March @ 11am
- Fri 28th March @ 12 pm
Instructions on how to use services and user guides plus promotional materials for you to use with your patients will be circulated after training sessions have taken place. A video recording of one of the sessions will also be circulated after all webinars have taken place for those that are unable to attend to view.
